To install a 36.25KW low inclination standing seam roof mounted system. The system consisted of 125x290W panels. Our specialist in house design team here at Square 4 services (SQ4S) was tasked with designing this system to a roof that has a 1 metre high parapet wall. The challenge we faced at this time is getting the optimal solar irradiance.
SQ4S completed a design and build technical specification. Which resulted in us using S-flex standing seam clamps and rail. We positioned the panel array out off all shadows casted by the parapet wall to create the optimal solar irradiance.
The system was installed in stages, working closely with the nominated roofing contractor and on-site engineers. Project managed to ensure minimal disruption to other services on site. The system was installed in line with the roofing material which was facing 52° south-east to ensure optimal performance and cost savings at installation stage ensured we completed the project on time and under budget.
